ree

In this Course we cover an introduction to the following legal topics:

  • The Scottish Legal System

  • Scottish Legal Professionals

  • Legal Academic Skills for Higher Education

This course is designed to support students who are getting ready to, or who have already left school. Alternatively, they may be already studying at College or have taken a break from education and wish to prepare for university study.

Group Sizes

Our group sizes are purposely kept quite small (max. of 12) so that students can collaborate with one another, gaining essential group work and confidence skills. You'll have the chance to interact with the course leader and your peers during our sessions, giving you the chance to gauge how you're progressing and how your classmates are tackling the course material.

Course Format

Our Pre-University Preparation Course offers a platform where students can gain a deeper understanding of the academic skills required for a smooth transition into higher education.

Our sessions are devised of both traditional lectures and interactive tutorials which prepare students for the independent format of learning that characterises university education. This means that our students know what to expect in terms of lectures and tutorials (and how to prepare properly...) before they receive their university timetable!

The content and focus on academic skills are tailored to support these students re-enter education and to develop the required educational competency that is required to study successfully in higher education.
