After touring The Guilty Act across Scotland, we’re delighted to offer this popular talk in a brand new format — fully online and available on demand, so you can take part whenever it suits you.
In this talk, we promise Real Cases, Real Crimes, Real Scotland.
But what is a guilty act? What happens if you commit an offence by accident? Can alcohol or drugs ever excuse crime?
We will explore the 'guilty act' through looking at true crime cases which have shaped the law. You'll have the opportunity to gain an understanding of key aspects of criminal law in Scotland and ponder challenging questions on the real cases that we will consider.
