About the event
Welcome to Scots Law Talks.
In collaboration with MyAngus Week we will be delivering The Guilty Act for one last time in Arbroath!
Taking place on Thursday 28th March 2024 at 18:00 GMT, this in-person event is a must-attend for anyone interested or curious in understanding criminal law in Scotland.
In this talk, we promise Real Cases, Real Crimes, Real Scotland.
But what is a guilty act? What happens if you commit an offence by accident? Can alcohol or drugs ever excuse crime?
We will explore the 'guilty act' through looking at true crime cases which have shaped the law. You'll have the opportunity to gain an understanding of key aspects of criminal law in Scotland, ask questions, and engage in thought-provoking discussions with fellow attendees.
